A former filmmaker, producer, journalist, and TV writer who has twice been nominated for an Emmy award, Mr. Santos focuses on issues of media, religion, and identity at the philanthropic organization. He serves on the Presidential Advisory Commission on Excellence in Education for Hispanic Americans. Mr. Santos was the first Mexican-American to receive a Rhodes Scholarship. His family memoir, Places Left Unfinished at the Time of Creation, will be published by Viking/Penguin this year.
