Bianca Serrato will be graduating in the top 4 percent of her high school class in June. She will begin her international studies at Northwestern University in the fall. Bianca is an editor for her school newspaper, The Pacer. She writes stories on political and district policy issues and also translates them into Spanish for the Spanish-language section of the paper. Bianca is also the captain of her high school varsity soccer team. Her dream is to become a U.S. ambassador.

Monica Marmolejo is a student at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington where she is majoring in accounting and international business. She is the treasurer of La Raza Latina (Hispanic) Club and a mentor for at-risk children. After graduation, Monica plans to pursue a graduate degree and eventually work in Latin America or China. She is fluent in Spanish and would like to become a chief accounting officer for an international firm.

Emily Matos will begin her graduate education this fall at New York University. Emily is a Latino Scholar with the National Society of Hispanic MBAs and will focus her graduate studies on international relations and humanitarian assistance. As an undergraduate student at the University of Miami, Emily spearheaded a volunteer project for migrant farm workers. She also served as a mentor for immigrant children. Emily plans to pursue a career in the nonprofit field.
