George Lopez
George Lopez is the latest comedian to have a heyday with Sarah Palin, saying she's exhibiting all the signs of a Latina politician.
"She has a child and a grandchild the same age," he quipped during an interview Thursday night with CNN Headline News host Joy Behar. "I mean, the concept of Todd Palin being a stay-at-home dad -- listen Joy, when I was a kid, those guys were called bums."
Lopez, whose namesake TV sitcom was canceled in 2007 after a five-year run, has just launched his own late-night talk show on TBS called Lopez Tonight. Lopez, 48, is the first Hispanic to host his own English-language talk show in the United States.
For her part, Palin is hot on the radar right now. Currently on a whirlwind book tour for "Going Rogue," she has been simultaneously basking in the adoration of her fans and lashing out against what she refers to as the "leftist media."
Earlier this week she blasted Newsweek for using a leggy picture of her, taken by the magazine Runner's World, posing in power red near an American flag, calling it sexist. The flareup put Newsweek in hot water, as Runner's World later claimed that it hadn't granted official permission.
In a recent interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network's David Brody, Palin said she prays for her critics.
"These are probably some lonely people, some shallow people who want to take a shot like that," she said. "And we need to pray for these people for one and we also need to keep things in perspective."
