September 4, 2014

Sept. 04--Easy-listening pop hits don't come any more reliable than the material of timeless troubadour James Taylor.

Since rising to stardom in the 1970s, Taylor has sold more than 100 million albums on the strength of lyrical songs such as "Sweet Baby James," "Fire and Rain" and "Shower the People."

Expect those classics to be the foundation for Taylor's fall arena tour, a trek that will feature a road ensemble of A-list musicians. At a 2011 performance at Orlando'sBob Carr Performing Arts Centre, Taylor's band included noted songwriter David Lasley, the expressive Arnold McCuller on vocals and saxophonist Lou Marini, of the original "Saturday Night Live" house band.

Taylor will perform Nov. 18 at Amway Center. Tickets are $78.45-$103.45, on sale to the general public on Sept. 12. (There's a pre-sale for Citi Card members starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9.)
