Minister Highlights Investments in Energy Sector

Angolan minister of Energy and Water, JoÃo Baptista Borges, Tuesday in Luanda said that the current progress and the investments in the electricity sector should constantly be coupled with training programmes.

The official said so at the ceremony to deliver the certificates and closing of course on "Training programme in electrical systems".

The official said that the training is a growing demand in the sector.

JoÃo Borges also said that the building of infrastructure in Low Kwanza, the construction of a combined cycle of Soyo and the three southern systems, will require specialised staff, to ensure the best energy production.

"The new infrastructure and trained personnel will help minimise power outages and provide the population with an excellent service," he said.

Meanwhile, the minister praised the initiative of the Energy Company (ENE) and the building firm (Odebrecht) focused on staff training.
