September 3, 2014

Inflow of Turkish investments in Kyrgyzstan exceeded $300 million since 1995, Deputy Economy Minister Sanjar Mukanbetov said during the 6th Assembly of Engineers and Architects of Turkic Speaking Countries.

Turkey thus is one of the main trade partners of Kyrgyzstan. Since 1994, trade relations between the two countries increased 14 times.

Today, more than 300 Kyrgyz-Turkish joint ventures operate in Kyrgyzstan, including some 80 companies in the fields of engineering, architecture and construction.

"Companies under Turkish investment are successfully developing. In particular, these are small and medium enterprises. They are the best example of joint business in Kyrgyzstan," Mukanbetov noticed and called for further strengthening of the bilateral cooperation.
