WASHINGTON, Sept. 3 -- The following federal contracts were announced by federal agencies as having been awarded to companies operating in Connecticut.
MILITARY $33.59 Million Federal Contract Awarded to Sikorsky Aircraft
WASHINGTON, Sept. 3 -- Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Connecticut, was awarded a $33,592,172 federal contract by the U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, for the procurement of initial spares and aviation ground support equipment for 24 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters in support of the Saudi Arabian National Guard.
MILITARY $9.47 Million Federal Contract Awarded to United Technologies
WASHINGTON, Sept. 3 -- United Technologies Corp., Pratt & Whitney, Military Engines, East Hartford, Connecticut, was awarded a $9,468,406 federal contract modification by the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, for F-35 Lightening II Lot VI Low Rate Initial Production. This modification provides for support equipment for the F135 propulsion systems to include handling, testing, and maintenance equipment and parts required to keep systems operational such as borescope inspection kits, main engine inlet covers, lift nozzle module slings, lift gearbox adapters, and water wash cart systems.
MILITARY $183,011 Federal Contract Awarded to Sikorsky Aircraft
WASHINGTON, Sept. 3 -- Sikorsky Aircraft, Stratford, Connecticut, won a $183,011.16 federal contract from the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command, Philadelphia, for inserter and remover hand tools.
