China : NEW fixed income manager appointed by Chinas CIFM

Nie Shuguang, previous head of fixed income at Zhong Ou Asset Management is selected as fixed income fund portfolio manager by China International Fund Management (CIFM), a joint venture between JP Morgan Asset Management and Shanghai Trust.

CIFM said in a statement that Mr. Nie would oversee the CIFM Pure Bond Securities Investment Fund, effective August 29.

Mr. Nie served different positions at Zhong Ou between 2009 and 2014, together with analyst, assistant fund manager, portfolio manager, and director of the fixed income division. Before that, he served at Bank of Nanjing as a fixed-income analyst.

As per to finance website hexun.com, CIFM is ranked the 19th largest fund manager among 84 market players in China s mutual fund industry, with total AUM of around 40.4 billion RMB (US$6.46 billion).
