NSI All-Share Index Dips to 41,264 Points

The All-Share Index dropped 113.65 basis points from 41,398.05 recorded the previous trading day to close at 41,264.65 points, while the market capitalisation dropped N44.048 billion from N13.669 trillion to N13.625 trillion.

At the close of trading, 20 stocks recorded price appreciation as against 25 on Monday, while 33 others constituted the losers' table as against 30 on Monday.

However, investors on Tuesday swooped on the shares of Dangote Cement, when a total of 13.872 million shares, valued at N3.057 billion were bought and sold in 93 transactions.

Further analysis of the day's trading showed that Zenith Bank topped the day's gainers' table with 59 kobo to close at N24.60 per share, followed by breweries' major, Guinness Nigeria, which added 50 kobo to close at N180.50 per share, its peer- International Breweries gained 387 kobo to close at N28.38 per share. Eterna Oil grabbed also 38 kobo to close at N4.47 per share; while Dangote Cement added 34 kobo to close trading at N225.50 per share.

Others were Premier Breweries which notched 21 kobo; United Bank for Africa, 9 kobo; Transnational Incorporated,7 kobo; May and Baker, 7kobo; while Union Bank Nigeria dropped 5 kobo, among others.
