BRIEF: U.S. Bank adding first local standalone branch in nearly 20 years

Sept. 02--U.S. Bank is opening a new branch in Maryland Heights next month, making it the bank's first new standalone branch in the region in nearly two decades.

Minneapolis-based U.S. Bank, the largest bank in St. Louis based on deposit market share, said the new branch at 11532 Page Service Drive will open Sept. 8. U.S. Bank has 119 local branches, and its last new standalone branch in the region opened in 1995. The new branch will be located off of Page Avenue, west of North Lindbergh Boulevard.

"We're committed to branch banking in St. Louis and across the country," Frankie Eichenberger, U.S. Bank'sSt. Louis metropolitan region manager, said in a statement. "Getting to know our customers face-to-face is critical for building deep and lasting relationships."
