Microsoft announces Lumia 530 is available in UAE

Microsoft Mobile Devices today announced the availability of its budget smartphone, the Lumia 530, in the UAE.

Featuring the latest Windows Phones operating system as well as Microsoft Office, Skype, XBOX games and social apps, the Lumia 530 comes powered with OneDrive cloud services, which allows users to access and sync their files, photos, music, and games across smartphones, tablets, and PCs, with up to 15 GB storage for free.

"With high end apps, features and exceptional build quality at an amazing price, the Lumia 530 set the sets the benchmark for affordable smartphones. The Lumia 530 demonstrates our focus on welcoming more people to the Windows Phone ecosystem with amazing devices that light up Microsoft's digital work and life experiences," said Jon French, vice president Middle East, Microsoft Mobile Devices.

The Lumia 530, which is now available at all leading retail outlets for AED410, has a 4-inch LCD display and a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor as well as a 5MP rear camera and 4GB of on-board memory, expandable with external SD cards up to 128GB. It also has a 1430mAh battery which lasts up to 22 hours standby and 13 hours 2G talk time.

The Dual SIM 3G phone comes with native Lumia apps such as HERE maps, Creative Studio and Glam Me and is available in bright orange, bright green, dark grey and white.
