August 9, 2014

By Mariecar Mendoza, Daily News, Los Angeles

Aug. 09--After more than four decades, Sir Paul McCartney will take over Dodger Stadium -- again.

Sunday night's concert is part of McCartney's Out There Tour and is the first time The Beatles front man will have performed at the L.A. stadium since 1966.

"Oh yeah!" he exclaimed in a video on a YouTube he released on Thursday. "And this time we're going to play a little bit longer."

The L.A. stadium doors open for fans at 6 p.m., with the show slated to start at 8 p.m.

"Be there," McCartney said. "Let's go."

The highly-anticipated Southern California stop is just one of two McCartney performances at the Golden State's iconic baseball venues. After Sunday's concert, McCartney travels to San Francisco on Aug. 14 for a show at Candlestick Park, the last American venue The Beatles performed as a band before retiring in August 1966.
