August 14, 2014

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Computer Weekly News -- Elephant Talk Communications Corp. (NYSE MKT: ETAK) ("Elephant Talk"), a global provider of Software Defined Network Architecture (ET Software DNAŽ 2.0) platforms and cyber security solutions, announced that the Company and HP signed an agreement to collaborate on global, mutual sales. With this agreement, the companies extend their relationship to deliver services from the Elephant Talk Software DNAŽ virtualized platform and the HP Integrated Home Subscriber Server (HP I-HSS). By deploying the services, Mobile Network Operators (MNO) can benefit from seamless subscriber mobility across heterogeneous networks when changing their current legacy systems or monetizing the MVNO market opportunities.

The Elephant Talk Software DNAŽ virtualized platform now incorporates the HP I-HSS, which enables Service Providers to manage their subscriber identity across network technologies in a high availability model. With HP I-HSS the subscriber identity is continuously carried over, no matter where the mobile consumer travels to and which access method or Radio Access Network (RAN) technology is used, which it believes will allow Elephant Talk Software DNAŽ 2.0 to deliver an undisrupted virtualized service experience.

"Based upon deployment experience of many years, we believe that MNOs can realize up to 80 percent of their cost cutting objectives by adopting a Software Defined Network Architecture. Virtualized software systems, like our Software DNAŽ 2.0 platform, can eliminate legacy systems as well as outdated network management systems reducing costs and unneeded complexity," said Martin Zuurbier, CTO at Elephant Talk. "Today's agreement with HP is a result of long-standing cooperation between Elephant Talk and HP and demonstrates a shared vision for the future of virtualized, software defined network architecture. We are looking forward to making additional joint presentations to the market."

"Multi-country MNO's and MVNOs require high scalability, cross network operation, and quick return on investment. By combining Elephant Talk's Software DNAŽ virtualized platform and HP's industry first integrated software for HLR and HSS, HP can better serve this segment of the market with flexible deployment models and a scalable solution," said David Sliter, Vice President & General Manager, Communications, Media and Entertainment Solutions at HP.
