Alicanto Minerals Limited - Completion of Tranche 1

Release date- 05082014 - As announced on 28 July 2014, Alicanto Minerals Limited (ASX: AQI) will raise $1.5 million through a share placement to advance exploration activities, including further drilling, at the Company's Arakaka Gold Project located within the highly prospective and under-explored Northern Guyana Shield in Guyana.

The Company is pleased to confirm that it has completed the first tranche of the placement with the allotment of 3.97 million shares at $0.15 to raise gross proceeds of $595,500. Tranche 1 was issued pursuant to ASX Listing Rule 7.1.

The second tranche of a further 6.03 million shares at $0.15 is to be issued subject to shareholder approval at a General Meeting to be held in early September 2014. A notice of meeting will be sent to shareholders in due course.

In addition, Alicanto announced a Share Purchase Plan ('SPP') is to be offered to all eligible shareholders on the same terms as the Placement to raise up to $300,000. Documents relating to the SPP will be dispatched in due course.

Notice under Section 708A

Alicanto issued 3.97 million shares on 5 August 2014 to institutional and sophisticated investors to raise gross proceeds of $595,000. The securities are part of a class of securities quoted on the Australian Securities Exchange Limited (ASX).

The Company gives this notice pursuant to Section 708A(5)(e) of the Corporations Act. The shares were issued without disclosure to the various parties under Part 6D.2, in reliance on Section 708A(5) of the Corporations Act. The Company, as at the date of this notice, has complied with:

The provisions of Chapter 2M of the Corporations Act and

Section 674 of the Corporations Act.

There is no excluded information as at the date of this notice, for the purposes of Sections 708A(7) and (8) of the Corporations Act.
