Aug. 06--1st Source currently is involved in a $6 million to $8 million construction blitz in the Fort Wayne area.

The South Bend-based financial institution is remodeling six locations in Fort Wayne and building two new ones at 7821 Carnegie Blvd. and another at 4605 E. Dupont Road in the Dupont Commons Shopping Center.

The bank will offer a full array of financial services for businesses and individuals at the new locations, including checking, investments, loans, mortgages, insurance and more. The bank also is building a new office to take the place of an existing location in nearby New Haven, Ind., said Jim Seitz, president of 1st Source Bank.

"1st Source is committed to Fort Wayne and we're excited to add two new banking centers," Larry Mayers, president of 1st Source Fort Wayne Region, said in a release. "The new locations will provide greater convenience and allow us to serve clients in the growing areas of Fort Wayne."

1st Source currently has six offices in Fort Wayne, as well as banking centers in Bluffton, Columbia City, Huntington and New Haven.

All of the new or remodeled offices will include the bank's side-by-side banking concept, which was first tested at its location in Dowagiac and has subsequently been used for every new or remodeled office.

"The side-by-side concept focuses on the personalization of the transaction," said Seitz. "Our online banking and ATMs are robust, but when customers want information they come to our banking centers."

1st Source Corp., parent company of 1st Source Bank, has assets of $4.93 billion and is the largest locally controlled financial institution headquartered in the northern Indiana-southwestern Michigan area.

The corporation includes 78 banking centers in 17 counties, 21 1st Source Bank Specialty Finance Group locations nationwide, nine Trust and Wealth Management locations and eight 1st Source Insurance offices.
