Aug. 05--The public is being invited to enjoy a great day of entertainment, and help a patriotic cause at the same time. Mark your calendar for Aug. 10 from 4-9 p.m. for the Rally 2 Remember Benefit Concert and Cruise-in at Spartan Municipal Stadium in Portsmouth.

Headlining the day's entertainment will be the very popular Phil Dirt & The Dozers performing live, and show vehicles and bikes will be displayed inside the stadium.

"Classic cars and bikes will be permitted inside the stadium with the band," Dave Pack, one of the organizers of the event, said. "When the band is playing they will be surrounded by classic cars and bikes."

Tickets are $15 per person with proceeds to benefit the James Dickey Post 23 of the American Legion Wreath Fund which provides wreaths for fallen veterans at Greenlawn Cemetery and Kentucky National Veterans Cemetery in Grdeenup on Wreaths Across American Day on Dec. 13. Children under the age of 16 are admitted free.

Pack said your ticket stub automatically enters you into a drawing for a new 2014 Chevy Spark on Dec. 13.

Pack said all veterans, legion members and riders are welcome too. Additionally there will be food and drinks and 50/50 split the pot.
