Kyrgyzstan's public debt amounts to 187 billion som

The public debt of Kyrgyzstan amounted to 187 billion som by May 31, 2014. This includes 174.2 billion som external debt, 12.8 billion som internal debt, Finance Ministry's Budget Policy Division Chief Kanat Asangulov said at the public hearings on draft budget for 2015 and forecast for 2016-2017 on August 6.

The changes in the public debt in the next 3 years will depend upon the sum of spending of loans and new borrowings, but the public external debt should not exceed 60% of GDP, Kanat Asangulov stressed.

12.7 billion som will be spent for public debt servicing, he added.
