Aug. 05--The Bell County Fair begins Wednesday and promises to have something for everyone.
Gates open at 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 8 a.m. on Saturday. Wednesday is Family Night and is $5 admission for all.
Thursday is the rodeo and admission is $10 for all, Friday is $15 admission for all with the price including admission to the concert with reserved seating costing $20.
Saturday admission is $10 for all with an additional fee for those participating in the color run. The color run begins at 8 a.m. and is followed by a car show an noon and a tractor pull at 7 p.m.
Headlining this year's concert is country music legend John Anderson. Anderson is currently on his 30th Anniversary Swingin' tour. In addition to "Swingin'," Anderson is known for his hits "Straight Tequila Night", "Seminole Wind" and "Money in the Bank."
Opening for Anderson is Eric Paslay -- an up and coming country music artist who is well known for his hits "Friday Night" and "Song About A Girl" -- as well as two local acts, Tim Goodin and Nate Cornett.
Both Goodin and Cornett are excited about the chance to open for such a well-known country music star.
"I'm really excited and thankful for the opportunity to open up for a country music legend and I'm looking forward to it," said Goodin.
"To have the opportunity to showcase my music on the same stage as John Anderson is an honor," added Cornett. "The fact that I have the privilege of opening for someone who is such a big name in the country music industry is humbling to say the least."
