August 4, 2014

Project No: IT0313 Project status: CONSTRUCTION Project Cost: $55,000 Project Completion : 2014 Project phase : Execution Project Description: Replace Water SCADA server and upgrade software platforms due to age. Justification: The current system is nearing 8 years old. Failure will result in staff inability to access and use water SCADA information, plant alerts and critical events. This could result in safety issues for staff as well as the public. The new replacement server includes moving to virtualization and multi-host redundancy. This will be integrated into the virtual SCADA shared cluster with WWTP, CSO, and Electric, allowing for system software and data redundancy across multiple platforms and physical locations. This will also allow for backup capabilities to multiple sites not currently available.
