Luhrs Center unveils 2014-15 show season

Aug. 04--SHIPPENSBURG -- The H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center at Shippensburg University has opened ticket sales for the upcoming performance year.

Single show tickets are available online at, by calling 477-7469 or visiting the box office.

Season subscriptions and flex series must be bought in person or over the phone.

Solo artist performances, children's and family programs, orchestral concerts, comedy, and more will fill the stage this season, beginning with comic Terry Fator's return Aug. 23, bringing his "It Starts Tonight Tour."

This season's blockbuster performances include Trace Adkins, Phillip Phillips, Taylor Dayne, The Beach Boys, Terry Bradshaw and more.

Three comedy shows include the opener with Terry Fator, Last Comic Standing Live Tour Oct. 1 and Billy Gardell on Nov. 15.

Fun for the family includes Jack Hanna's Into The Wild Live!, with Hanna's favorite animal friends and stories.

The Luhrs Center will host a fundraising gala event preceding this year's performance of Disney's Beauty and the Beast on April 9. Luhrs Circle of Friends Gala is a night of festivities and fabulous food to help support the Luhrs Center.

Ballroom dance lessons are offered on the stage as beginner, advanced and third-timers classes for a six-week period (weekly, beginning March 16). Taught by seasoned dance instructor Frank Hancock, participants may learn the basics, brush up on skills or take on more advanced steps.
