GT Software, the leader in helping enterprise organizations unify
business information across any platform, data format or programming
language, today announced that Dusty Rivers will present at SHARE
Pittsburgh 2014, August 3-8 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
During the session “IMS in the Connected World – Why You Should
Pay Attention!,” Rivers, GT Software’s principal technical architect
and a five-time IBM Champion, will examine how IMS remains relevant in
today’s business world and ways it can be incorporated into mobile,
cloud and analytic applications.
The program will take place on Wednesday, August 6 from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
in Room 402 in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
“While some may view IMS as becoming extinct, it remains popular in
today’s businesses. In fact, last year 75 percent of Fortune 1000
companies included IMS in their technology portfolios,” said Rivers.
“Yet many users are unaware that it’s possible to utilize lightweight
development tools to integrate with IMS data and transactions, without a
need for coding or changing the underlying mainframe applications.
During my presentation, I will highlight how businesses can leverage
these solutions to easily create user-friendly, self-service
applications for mobile, web and cloud.”
SHARE Inc. is an independent association providing enterprise computing
