California Made in America show tunes up for day 2

August 31, 2014

LOS ANGELES (AP) With the first day of downtown Los Angeles' inaugural outdoor music festival in the books, the city is getting ready for round two.

The Budweiser Made in America concert resumes at 2 p.m. Sunday in Grand Park, with Kanye West, John Mayer and Weezer among the many acts set to perform.

More than 40,000 people are expected to attend the multi-stage show near Los Angeles City Hall, braving temperatures well into the 90s. It marks the first time Grand Park is being used for a large, ticketed event.

Police officials say officers made 29 arrests Saturday, including six for felony narcotics.

Rap mogul Jay Z launched the two-day festival in Philadelphia in 2012 and announced its West Coast expansion this spring.
