Aug. 29--There are openings available for the free estate planning seminar at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the East Stroudsburg Salvation Army Citadel, East Stroudsburg. Reservations are required and lunch is provided.
Salvation Army guest presenters will include Pocono Record Business page financial columnist Erin Baehr of Baehr Family Financial; Scott Miller, of Riley & Co., Stroudsburg; attorney Jeffrey Wright, of Cramer, Swetz & McManus; Sharon Somers, director of Planned Giving for the Salvation Army'sEastern Pennsylvania and Delaware Division; and attorney Samuel Newman, chairman of the Salvation Army East Stroudsburg Corps Endowment Committee.
Topics for the seminar will include estate tax, the Hometown Endowment Fund, tax changes and charitable gift annuities. In addition, the presenters will cover the importance of a will and retirement planning.
Major James Gingrich, commanding officer of the East Stroudsburg Corps said, "The event is just meant to be informative and provides an overview of taxes, estate planning and what we do here to help our neighbors cope in difficult financial times."
