Aug. 29--Looking for something fun to do this holiday weekend? Here is a quick look at some of your entertainment options in Hampton Roads.

The Virginia Symphony has got three free outdoor performances -- at Fort Monroe, Riverwalk Landing in York County, and at Chesapeake City Park.

The Virginia Beach Oceanfront will be the scene for both the Rock and Roll Half-Marathon (on Sunday) and the American Music Festival (all weekend). Bands and performers at the festival will include Train, Foghat, Hunter Hayes and Creedence Clearwater Revisited.

The Bass Pro Shops, including the one in Hampton, will host lots of family activities on Saturday and Sunday.

Up in Urbanna, the "Raise Your Voice" concert will feature lots of old-school R&B including Kathy Sledge and the Manhattans.

If you're looking for some modern bluegrass, you've got two great choices on Saturday night -- The Whiskey Rebellion at The Kimball Theatre in Williamsburg or Yonder Mountain String Band at The Norva in Norfolk.

Also, the Norfolk Tides will play their final home baseball games of the year on Friday (5:05 p.m.) and Saturday (7:05 p.m.), with fireworks both nights.
