United Kingdom : CO DOWN engineering company to double workforce as it targets export trade in CANADA, LATIN AMERICA

As it targets export trade in Canada and Latin America, a Co Down engineering firm has planned to double its workforce.

Hill Engineering, which already operates in Australia and the U.S., is also extending to offer further warehousing and research and development facilities.

The company, which designs and makes couplers and buckets for the infrastructure industry, has witnesses a recent high level of commercial success after it developed a coupler which won the Queen's Award for Enterprise earlier in 2014.

Financial controller at Hill Engineering, Pearl Campbell, said that the company is working hard to expand export business.

She added : "We already have a presence in Australia and America and as part of our significant growth plans we hope to increase our penetration in these markets."

Geoff Sharpe, corporate banking manager with Danske Bank Hill's new banker said : "Hill Engineering is an ambitious and dynamic business with big plans for the future. This is a an exciting time to be working with Hill Engineering."
