South Dakota Agricultural Prices

SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Aug. 28 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's South Dakota Agricultural Statistics office issued the following news release:

Preliminary prices received by farmers for winter wheat in August averaged $5.18 per bushel, down 92 cents from last month according to the USDA'sNational Agricultural Statistics Service. The preliminary August spring wheat price, at $5.47, is down $1.09 from last month.

The preliminary August oat price, at $2.90, is down 27 cents from the last month.

The preliminary August corn price, at $3.13, is down 54 cents from last month.

The preliminary August soybean price, at $11.40, is down $1.30 from last month.

The preliminary August price for all sunflowers, at $17.00, is down $2.80 from last month.
