August 28, 2014

Indonesia s PT Telekom will introduce several MVNOs in the Middle East aimed at Indonesians based in the region.

According to CEO Arief Yahya, the firm would obtain this goal through cooperation with local mobile operators via its international arm, Telin (PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International). Our principle is that we will always follow the money, the people, the traffic and the network, Arief stated.

In addition, the operator plans to form partnerships with venture capital firms in Silicon Valley as a means of increasing its competitiveness in the international digital services space.

Arief has announced collaboration with VC firm Fenox Venture Capital, and has indicated that more agreements are in the pipeline.

We are committed to investing $200 million, which we intend to boost the national creative digital industry. In the big picture, this will contribute to Indonesia s economic growth, Arief stated.
