Aug. 27--The national touring production of the satirical Broadway musical "The Book of Mormon" will stop at Chrysler Hall Oct. 28 to Nov. 2. Tickets for the show will go on sale to the public next Friday, Sept. 5.

Winner of nine Tony Awards, including best musical, "The Book of Mormon" features music and lyrics by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, creators of the animated series "South Park," and Robert Lopez, co-creator of the musical comedy "Avenue Q."

Of the touring production, Chris Jones, chief theater critic for the Chicago Tribune, writes: "Laughs flow like Mormon wagon trains rolling West. But 'The Book of Mormon,' like the enigmatic volume it lampoons so mercilessly, is actually a many-layered beast and therein, verily, lies its brilliance."

Tickets range from $63 to $125, plus fees, and will be available at the Scope Arena box office, 201 East Brambleton Ave., all Ticketmaster outlets, by visiting, or by calling (800) 745-3000. Group orders of 15 or more may be placed by calling 823-4299.
