Pakistan : WORLD BANK to aid Sindh province government in promoting TAX REVENUE

The World Bank would aid the Sindh province government in promoting tax revenue via surveys and automated tax procedures.

A survey would be executed in urban areas of the province to bring new property units in the tax net and registering additions in existing units to assess their correct rental value. The survey is part of a multi-million dollar project to be financed by the World Bank.

The survey of buildings and houses in Sukkur would be accompanied by enumeration of property units in Larkana and Hyderabad. It will reach its climax when the survey team would begin work in the metropolitan city of Karachi.

The private consultants would carry on the surve, which is to be engaged by the World Bank.
