'Man with the golden voice' to go on stage for charity concert

A CHARITY concert by well-known Pakistani singer Amanat Ali will be held next weekend.

The event, called The Man with the Golden Voice, is set to take place on September 5 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, with doors opening at 6pm.

Mr Ali will take to the stage with his seven-member band and part of the proceeds will go towards the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioural and Communicational Difficulties.

A highly acclaimed artist, Mr Ali has been labelled a "great discovery" by renowned Indian choreographer Farah Khan.

He was the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Middle East Challenge 2007 and toured the US with the Bachchan family the following year. His first album was released in 2009 and he was judged Boomer Voice of Nation, Pakistan in 2011.

Tickets for the concert are priced at BD5, BD10 and BD25 per person and are available at Yateem Centre and Mumbai Spices Restaurant at Bahrain Mall.

The event is being organised by Interads International and sponsored by Zayani Motors, Pan Asia, Mumbai Spices, Habib Bank, Joz Salon and Yateem Centre.
