BRIEF: Kings of Leon cancels Burgettstown concert

Beaver County Times, Pa.

Aug. 26--BURGETTSTOWN -- Kings of Leon canceled its Friday concert at First Niagara Pavilion due to a lingering rib injury to drummer Nathan Followill.

Refunds are available at the point of purchase.

Kings of Leon previously had canceled nine tour dates after Followill was injured in a tour bus accident. The tour had been scheduled to resume Thursday in New Jersey, with the Burgettstown show the next night, but further evaluation from a doctor prompted the band to axe both those shows, too.

The Grammy-winning rock band, known for hits "Use Somebody" and "Sex on Fire," announced Tuesday it will return to the road Sunday to headline the Budweiser Made in America Festival in Philadelphia.

The band's bus accident occurred en route to their hotel in Boston when a pedestrian jumped in front of the vehicle, causing the bus to stop short. Followill was treated for broken ribs.
