IPFM Appoints Akande As Nigerian Rep

Institute of Professional Financial Managers (IPFM) based in the United Kingdom has appointed a Nigerian financial academic, Dr Busari Shaamsuddeen Akande, founder of the Islamic Institute of Accounting and Finance in Nigeria, as its representative in the Nigeria.

With his recent appointment in London at a special event, Dr Akande has been inducted into the Institute's council board of experts, Akande told his students, friends and well wishers in Calabar over the weekend.

The internationally renowned financial training Institute has saddled him with the task of extending its academic services to Nigerians.

Akande, in his speech said 600 Nigerians have already been registered for IPFM courses.

His academic contributions to development of treasury management, training of Africans in financial management, expertise accounted for his appointment by IPFM.

IPFM was established in London in 1992 as an organisation for professional, financial managers and to fill the void between the accountancy and treasury management professions.
