India,United Kingdom : IPE GLOBAL expands its footprint considerably with the acquisition of TRIPLE LINE

New Delhi-based Infrastructure Professionals Enterprise Global Pvt Ltd (IPE Global), which is backed by the UK-based private equity fund Henderson Equity Partners, has made an announcement on its acquisition of the global provider of development consulting services - Triple Line Consulting Ltd of the UK.

IPE Global, a player of research and consulting services sector operating since 1998, has said nothing on the overall value of the new deal.

IPE Global, which was established by some ex-students of London School of Economics, is a top development sector consultancy firm incorporated in India. It operates subsidiaries and branches in Kenya, Ethiopia and Bangladesh. Henderson Equity Partners acquired a 26% stake in the company in 2011 for $10 million.

Through the acquisition the London-headquartered Triple Line, IPE Group will be able to expand its presence in the development sector to more than 100 nations across the globe, with offices covering the African, Asian and European regions.

Despite this development, Triple Line will maintain offering its services in the same name, with technical supports coming from its Founders and Directors David Smith and Lydia Richardson respectively.

The UK-based international development-consulting firm, which was founded in 1999, offers technical expertise to enhance living standards of the poor and developing nations. Triple Line has been involved in the execution of more than 350 projects covering above 70 countries globally.

Following the acquisition terms, the whole staff fleet of Triple Line will work as the employees of IPE Global. Besides, the Indian company s Chairman and Managing Director Ashwajit Singh will serve Triple Line as a non-Executive Chairman.

The DFID, the European Commission, the World Bank, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, EURASIA Foundation, Comic Relief and SIDA plus NGOs like VSO and FERN are among the customers of the entity.

The Founder and Director of Triple Line Lydia Richardson revealed, This is an exciting opportunity for Triple Line to become a global business. IPE Global and Triple Line have a strong cultural fit We now will have the potential to be a leading global presence and will focus on building our work in Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

The CMD of IPE Global - Ashwajit Singh stated, Joining forces with Triple Line will bring the groups international business to a scale that will enable us to offer value for money services in diverse areas of expertise ranging from Urban Infrastructure, Health, Education, Agriculture, Private Sector Development, Governance to Grants Management, Gender and Social Inclusion, M&E and Financial Management.
