BoCom H1 NPL Ratio Up to 1.13%

BEIJING, August 22, SinoCast -- Bank of Communications (SHSE: 601328) announced group-caliber non-performing loan (NPL) outstanding hit CNY 38.75 billion by the end of June, adding CNY 4.44 billion over the beginning of the year.

NPL ratio was 1.13%, down 0.08 percentage points over the beginning of the year.

The assets quality change was mainly attributed to the spreading risks of iron and steel business and SMEs in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces.

By the end of June, outstanding loans managed based on the financing platform hit CNY 195.246 billion, falling CNY 3.998 billion over the beginning of the year; NPL outstanding hit CNY 7.75 million, accounting for 0.004%. Real estate loan outstanding hit CNY 197.476 billion, falling CNY 3.824 billion over the beginning of the year; NPL outstanding hit CNY 189 million and NPL ratio was 0.10%.
