Aug. 21--The Midwest Salute to the Arts will be held this weekend at Moody Park in Fairview Heights.

The schedule:

FRIDAY

6 to 8 p.m. -- Watercolor painting demonstrations by Kevin Brundage and Susan Winter

6 to 8 p.m. -- Pen and ink drawing demonstration by Joanna Hoge

6 to 8 p.m. -- Acrylic painting demonstration by Renee Canetta

7 to 9 p.m. -- Music by Well Hungarians

SATURDAY

All day -- Demonstrations by Belleville Woodcarvers, Artisan Guild of Southern Illinois and Gateway East Artists Guild

10 a.m. -- Children's Gallery opens (art sold for $5 while it lasts)

9 to 10 a.m. -- Dooley the Clown

10 to 11 a.m. -- Metro Dance Company performance

10 to 11 a.m. -- Music by Carrier Tunes

10 a.m. to noon -- Live remote with Sherry Farmer of KLOU radio

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- Mixed media painting demonstrations by Kevin Pickard and Jessica Canale

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- Pencil drawing demonstration by Suzy Kunz

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- Acrylic painting demonstration by Tom Wodarczyk
