Swiss Customs Administration officers examine functioning of Kyrgyz Customs Service's risk management system

Experts of the Swiss Customs Administration visited Kyrgyzstan on August 12-20, the State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan said.

The purpose of the visit is evaluation of risk management system. The given evaluation mission is continued work on development of cooperation between customs authorities of Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland with the purpose of implementation of the protocol of the third meeting of the Kyrgyz-Swiss intergovernmental commission for commercial and economic cooperation.

The visit was organized with support of OSCE Center in Bishkek.

The first visit of the FCA was in September 2013, during which parties discussed bilateral ties and identified possible ways of cooperation. In July 2014, the Federal Customs Administration of Switzerland and the Kyrgyz State Customs Service reached an agreement on the delivery of a three-week training course in September and October 2014 for seven instructors of the Kyrgyz Customs on applying the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (also known as the "Harmonized System"), an internationally standardized system of names and numbers to classify traded products.
