"He personally has invited 50 villains," Renfro said. "We will see the majority of those 50 villains appear -- some rather magically -- or their presence known."
"We were really focused on Hades' favorite 13," Renfro said. "That's just not good enough to do again. We want all 50."
"It's very much in vogue right now with cosplay and everything else," said Renfro, referring to grownups dressing as fictional characters. "It just makes it feel like more fun when you feel like you're part of the party."
"We just need to make sure the costume is safe for everyone," he said.

The characters will be seen in varied scenarios within the park. A new production called "Oogie Boogie's Freaky Funhouse Show" features the villain of "The Nightmare Before Christmas." It will be seen several times at Theater of the Stars, the usual home of the park's "Beauty and the Beast" stage show.
Members of the "Star Wars" universe's dark side will be spotted in the Star Tours area. Scheduled intergalactic villains include Darth Maul,
There will be six set locations along the park's Streets of America for characters, including some that aren't usually seen up close, Renfro said.
"We've got two from outer space coming in for the first time ever -- Capt. Gantu and Dr. Hamsterviel," said Renfro, referring to characters in "Lilo & Stitch."

The Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant will serve up special small-plate dishes, including one called "Cruella's Devious Eyes."
Around the park will be specialty drinks, villain-driven hot dogs and a Maleficent cupcake -- dark-chocolate cake with a blackberry filling and blackberry buttercream topping.
