Aug. 21--Griffin Theatre Company announced the cast of its fall production of the musical "Titanic" on Thursday. It's a large crew for the modestly-sized Theater Wit, the venue where the show will play. The 20-person cast is about one fifth the size of the maximum audience-per-performance.
Scott Weinstein will direct Maury Yeston and Peter Stone's 1997 musical, now with new orchestrations by Ian Weinberger.
Kelley Abbel is Kate Murphey, Justin Adair is Fred Barret, Neala Barron is Alice Beane, Patrick Byrnes is Charles Lightoller, Matt Edmonds is Charles Clarke, Emily Grayson is Ida Strauss, Courtney Jones is Kate McGowan, John Keating is Henry Etches, Royen Kent is Harold Bride, Josh Kohane is Frederick Fleet, Eric Lindahl is Thomas Andrews, Scott Alan Luke is J. Bruce Ismay, Jake Mahler is Edgar Beane, Laura McClain is Caroline Neville, Christine Perkins is Kate Mullins, Kevin Stangler is Jim Farrell, Sean Thomas is Isador Strauss and Peter Vamvakas will play Captain Smith.
