Brazil : BRAZIL's CPqD inks new contracts with Ministry of Defense

Brazil'sCenter for Research and Development (CPqD) has inked two new contracts within the Project of Defined Radio for Defense Software (RDS-Defense), coordinated by a military organization the Technology Center of the Army based in Rio de Janeiro and a member of the Department of Science and Technology of the Brazil Army.

Main objective of RDS-Defense is promoting physical interoperability in tactical communications of Brazil's Armed Forces, by developing radio prototypes based on the RDS concept.

RDS facilitates operating with various communications standards, efficiently and safely in different frequency bands, using the same generic radio equipment.
