Wednesday's ETF with Unusual Volume: COPX

The Copper Miners ETF (COPX) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 156,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 32,000. Shares of COPX were up about 0.5% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Freeport McMoRan (FCX), trading up about 1.8% with over 4.5 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Lundin Mining (LUN.CA), up about 2.7% on volume of over 1.7 million shares. First Quantum Minerals (FM.CA) is the component faring the best Wednesday, higher by about 3.1% on the day, while Imperial Metals (III.CA) is lagging other components of the Copper Miners ETF, trading lower by about 4.2%.
