Aug. 20--Lodi Stadium 12 is on schedule to reopen Thursday morning, for the 11 a.m. showing, following inspection and treatment for bed bugs.
Clark Pest Control was on-site Wednesday after the company discovered small pockets of bed bugs in limited areas of the theater, according to a press release from Santa Rosa Entertainment Group.
Large trucks lined the side of the theater with tubes feeding into different rooms.
The movie theater was closed Sunday following reports that several patrons had been bitten by bedbugs.
Several people have posted on Lodi Stadium 12's Facebook page documenting bug bites and showing concern for spread of this pest into people's homes.
The theaters remain closed today as the entertainment group dealt with movie theater's pest problems.
Clark completed their treatment today and a follow-up inspection found no live bed bugs.
A statement released by Clark Pest Control was optimistic about the current status of the theater.
"We are battling bed bug infestations in many places in California'sCentral Valley and are confident in the service that we are providing the Lodi Stadium 12 Cinemas theater complex. Their pest issues are limited and under control. The theater will re-open tomorrow as planned," a representative of Clark Pest Control said.
Santa Rosa Entertainment group plans to hold regular inspections throughout the year.
