Aug. 20--The Lake Forest Symphony under newly appointed music director Vladimir Kulenovic has announced the programs for its 2014-15 season. Kulenovic will conduct four of the five pairs of concerts.
Here is the schedule:
Sept 6-7: Kulenovic, conductor; Stefan Milenkovic, violin. Program includes Glazunov's Violin Concerto and Beethoven's Fifth Symphony.
Nov. 1-2: David Cho, guest conductor; Jennifer Frautschi, violin. Program includes James Stephenson's Violin Concerto No. 1 ("Tributes") and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 ("Pahetique").
Jan. 24-25: Kulenovic, conductor; Wael Farouk, piano. Program includes Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 and Schumann's Symphony No. 4.
March 21-22: Kulenovic, conductor; Chaeyoung Park, piano. Program holds Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1 and Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 ("Pastoral").
May 23-24: Kulenovic, conductor; Philippe Quint, violin. Program includes Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 and Brahms' Symphony No. 1.
