PaySound provider offers online financial education resources to consumers and onsite training to bank staff on how to deploy the suite of products to most effectively meet consumers’ needs

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- R.C. Giltner Services, a provider of financial services and technology products to financial institutions, has announced Whitney Bishop has been named the PaySound financial empowerment coach, in charge of educating bank staff on financial needs of customers, and offering consumers educational videos regarding their financial health.

In this role, Bishop is offering a series of educational videos posted on the PaySound website on topics such as “Why Should I Know My Credit Score”. She also has a blog on the site offering advice on financial issues for consumers. In addition, Bishop conducts onsite training for financial institutions offering the PaySound product suite on how to better serve customers and provide outreach programs to the community.

Bishop (www.whitneybishop.com) is chief change agent of her own consulting firm, located in Louisville, Ky. For the past five years, she has served as the executive director for the Southern Indiana Asset Building Coalition, a non-profit organization that provides financial empowerment workshops for low and moderate-income families who are ready to create brighter financial futures for themselves and their families.

Bishop has also served on the executive committee for Bank On Louisville, a public-private effort to strengthen a community's economic well-being through improved access to mainstream financial education and services. She was selected as one of the pilot educators for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s “Your Money, Your Goals” toolkit, helping to shape the content and the experience for the resource’s July 2014 release. Bishop is dedicated to being of service to those who are ready for moving forward and making a difference in their lives and in the community.

“Acting as PaySound’s financial empowerment coach combines my three career loves,” explains Bishop, “Financial education and coaching, training, and facilitating positive change in people’s lives.”

Robert C. Giltner, CEO of R.C. Giltner Services, added, “PaySound offers an excellent way for financial institutions to provide good financial management tools and advice, more secure online and in-store shopping and automated liquidity options. Whitney adds a personal educational dimension to this package to serve our clients and their customers.”

The PaySound “no overdraft fees ever” checking account offers customers an alternative to incurring overdraft fees and instead pay a flat rate of $14.95 per month. Through its innovative product suite, bank customers may also apply for and set up a line of credit with the checking account through PaySound’s cloud-based automated underwriting function. Additionally, the PaySound Companion Card allows its users to make secure purchases online or in-store by simply segregating funds through intentional account transfers. Similar to PaySound Checking, the Companion Card is not subject to overdraft fees and has a flat monthly fee of $5.95.
