Heating tariffs to go up by 8% in Kazakhstan's Kyzylorda region in 2014

Kyzylorda region has started preparations for the upcoming heating season with the reconstruction of the two boilers at the central thermal power plant, Kyzylorda.gov.kz said.

This fall-winter season, the fees for heating in the region will be 8-percent higher, the press service noted.

500 million tenge will be allocated for preparations for the heating season.

In addition, a feasibility study of the project for the reconstruction and expansion of Kyzylorda CHP has been developed. The aim of the project is to increase production of electricity at the Kyzylorda thermal power plant with the aim to ensure energy independence of the region.

Thus, in the framework of III Investment Forum of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan, a loan agreement for allocation of 8.6 billion tenge has been signed. The regional budget will also direct money for the project in the amount of approximately 1.7 billion tenge.
