BRIEF: Conneaut Lake Park trustees seek more information before filing for bankruptcy

Aug. 19--CONNEAUT LAKE -- Conneaut Lake Park trustees want more information about cash on hand before they decide to petition the court for Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the park.

Trustees meeting today at the Conneaut Lake Historical Museum learned that early filing costs could total $10,000 to $20,000.

Their options to continue operating the park are limited. Local taxing bodies want the park sold at sheriff's sale this fall to recoup more than $910,000 in back taxes owed by the park.

Trustees will more closely review cash on hand at their Sept. 2 meeting.
