Tea Farmers to Get Fertiliser

KENYA Tea Development Authourity has imported 70,000 tonnes of fertiliser for tea farmers in the country. Chairman Peter Kanyago said the fertiliser was ordered from Asia in two shipments and the first one docked in Mombasa last week.

He said the next shipment is expected in a few days time so that it can be distributed to farmers around the country. Kanyago said the special compound fertiliser will improve quality and quantity of tea. He was speaking to journalists at Ragati Tea Factory in Mathira on Saturday.
