Pakistan Day Art Exhibition in Dubai inaugurated

Ambassador Javed Malik inaugurated the Pakistan Day Art Exhibition to kick start celebrations of Pakistan Day in UAE at Mussawir Art Gallery in Dubai in which emerging Pakistani Artists Nazar Haidrey and Irfan Mirza showcased their work. Nazar Haidrey's work focused on, `Music Painting in Cubism', whereas the Irfan Mirza, a US educated graphic artist, combined creativity with modern trends in design. On the occasion a Pakistan Art & Photography Club was also launched which aims to promote interaction between Pakistani and Arab Artists in order to further expand the dimension of Pakistan's relations with the UAE and the Gulf region. Speaking about the initiative, Ambassador Javed Malik said

"Art and Culture are important mediums of Cultural diplomacy, and modern day diplomats recognize the vital role Art can play in connecting people and promoting goodwill and positive interaction through creative dialogue. He appreciated the Pakistan Association in Dubai for their work, and welcomed the formation of Pakistan Art & Photography club, and said that further opportunities must be created for the Pakistani community in UAE to positively contribute to the society as this would also enable them to further expand the positive relations between Pakistan and United Arab Emirates.

The Pakistan Day Art Exhibition was part of the various events that have been planned in UAE to mark the Pakistan day. Javed Malik said that, Pakistani Solidarity community dinner is also being held to show solidarity with the government led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, pay tribute to the sacrifices of our brave armed forces in Zarb-e-Azab and express our support for the Internally displaced persons (IDPs).
