Kaplan announced earlier in August she planned to move the business from 265 Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard where it had been since
The existing store could close by the end of this week, she said.
Kaplan plans to spend the month of September painting the new location and ironing linens, she said. The new store is expected to open
"It's going to be the best Carol's Linens yet," she said.
The new store -- with 3,500 square feet of space -- will be considerably smaller than the current 10,000-square-foot store. But Kaplan said the new space is configured differently.
"We still will have 10 beds on display," instead of 15 beds, she said. "We are still going to have a large space devoted to the kitchen area, and we're expanding our gift items."
Some of the new gift items would include candles, soaps, silver trays and dish towels, she said.
"It sounds crazy, but it's hard to find nice dish towels," she said. "We put in a lot of research trying to find things that we felt like people were having to go to
