BRIEF: Sunrise police searching for credit card fraud suspects

Aug. 19--Police are searching for a man and woman suspected of committing credit card fraud at two Sunrise stores.

The suspects used a stolen credit card between 3:30 and 4 p.m.July 19 to buy more than $1,100 in merchandise from Wal-Mart and Target, according to police.

The credit card had been stolen from a woman's purse while she was shopping at the Oasis at Sawgrass Mills, according to police. The suspects used the card at Wal-Mart, 12555 W. Sunrise Blvd., and Target, 12801 W. Sunrise Blvd., to buy a $613.74 camera and five $100 gift cards respectively.

Authorities ask anyone with information about the suspects to call Detective Marchese at 954-746-3660 or Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-8477.
