NGO allocates Rs60mn for disaster risk management centre

Chairman of NGO HANDS Dr. Ghaffar Billo has said that HANDS has allocated Rs60 million for the construction of its Provincial Disaster Risk Management Centre.

Speaking at a ceremony he said that HANDS is providing relief to underprivileged people. He said we are catering to the disaster affected people through providing health, education & employment opportunities to them besides repairing & construction of their homes.

He said we are establishing a Provincial Disaster Risk Management Centre with the support of Medico International of Germany and philanthropists.

Billo urged the Government and other concerned peoples to make proper planning to combat.

On this occasion he highlighted the importance of Independence Day and prayed for the unity among Nation.

HANDS chief Executive, Dr. Tanveer Ahmed Shaikh told details of 85790 families' rehabilitation through provision of one-room houses in 20 districts of Pakistan, which he called Pakistan 's largest shelter project.
